There stands old Mack Brown
In tattered clothes and hat turned down.
"No great fellow he." Says the world
But God sees his life unfurled;
Sees the concern he has for others
Knows he views these men as brothers
Knows he wants only the best
For the helpless and the rest --
And for this cause he'd give
His life so they might live.
There stands old Mack Brown
In tattered clothes and hat turned down
Ah, but look again if you will,
For there in his heart is radiance still.
